To meet acclimatization requirements, the first two days are spent in Leh city which is the recommended period for adjusting to high altitude conditions.

Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Spend the day acclimatising to the high altitude (3500 m / 11800 ft). Evening market stroll recommended. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Leh to Alchi MonasteryVisit Alchi Monastery (68 km), Likir Monastery (Maitreya Buddha), Indus & Zanskar Confluence at Nimmoo, Magnetic Hill and Military Hall of Fame. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Khardung La – Thiksey & HemisDrive to Khardung La (18,360 ft). Meet a local family in Stoke Village. Visit Thiksey Monastery and Hemis Monastery. Return to hotel.
Day 4: Pangong LakeEarly morning drive to Pangong Lake (135 km). Explore the lake extending into Tibet. Evening return to Leh. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Leh – DepartureEarly morning transfer to airport for onward journey.
